Server Status
Description
The All Servers Status gadget displays the status of all connected Integrity Servers. The status of all Integrity Servers is displayed only if the IPA agent is installed on those servers. Note that this status is not related to the Integrity Server that you select in the list on the dashboard.
The color of the icons and the labels on the gadget indicate the status of the server, and the number below the icon indicates the number of servers with a particular status.
A server status can be one of the following:
No Alerts—This status is represented by a green icon indicating that the server is functioning without problems.
Pending Alerts—This status is represented by an amber icon indicating that the server has some issues that may not require immediate attention. However, it is recommended for an administrator to acknowledge these alerts. If they are not acknowledged, the server status continues to display the pending alert status.
Pending Critical Alerts—This status is represented by a red icon indicating that the server has critical issues requiring immediate attention.
Accessing the Details for Server Status and Alerts
The Server Status and Alerts details page displays the list of servers, their statuses, and the type of alerts per server. You can access this page by clicking the SERVER STATUS, an alert icon, or a server number link. Alternatively, you can access this page by selecting Server Status and Alerts from the Go To page list on the dashboard. An example of the Server Status and Alerts page is shown in the following figure:
When you click ALL SERVERS STATUS, the Server Status and Alerts details page opens. All servers for a customer are listed in the left pane. When you select a server, alerts for that server appear on the right-pane.
Similarly, when you click a status icon link or a server number link, a Server Status and Alerts page opens. All servers for a customer are listed in the left pane. For example, if you click the amber icon on ALL SERVERS STATUS page, you can see all servers containing pending alerts. The page also contains a table on the right pane that displays all alerts for the server selected on the left pane.
You can click the View link of an alert to go to the PTC support site and get details on the issue that resulted in the alert. You can also select an alert and click Acknowledge to indicate that the problem is noted. When you acknowledge an alert, a green check mark appears for the alert in the Acknowledge column.
