Performance Metrics
Description
The Performance Metrics gadget displays metrics for various server operations, such as server metrics, such as database and file system response times, average time entries per user, and so on. A list of top five slowest or performance-critical based operations for a server are listed.
This data helps monitor and diagnose issues that may occur when performing operations on the Integrity Server. They also help a Server Administrator to analyze the performance of various user actions and compare them with the server performance for other PTC customers.
Accessing the Details for Performance Metrics
When you click PERFORMANCE METRICS, the Performance Metrics details page listing all operations with performance numbers opens. The Avg Time (Ms) is the average time it takes for an operation to respond, and PTC Avg (Ms) indicates the average time for the operation across all PTC customers. This helps you evaluate the time it takes for an operation to generate a response when compared to data from other PTC customers.
Clicking an individual operation link in the left pane, opens a graph depicting the performance of the operation over a period of time. For example, in the following image, the graph for database response time in milliseconds is displayed.
