Configuring the IPA Agent Service
Windows
The IPA agent is installed as a service on Windows. This service is started by default when it is successfully installed on your computer. To start or stop a service on Windows, perform the following steps:
Click Start > Control Panel.
Click Administrative Tools in the window that opens.
Right-click Services and select Run as administrator.
Right-click Performance Advisor for PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager 1.0 and select Start or Stop.
All service-specific logs are available in the IPA_Install_Path>/logs directory.
Solaris and Linux
When the IPA agent is successfully installed on a Linux or Solaris computer, you can start the IPA agent as follows:
Navigate to<IPA_Agent_Install_Path>/bin from the command line.
Run the ipa-agent.sh script with administrative privileges.
Run ipa-agent start to start the agent process, or run ipa-agent stop to stop the agent process.
To check the status of the IPA agent process, run ipa-agent status.
