The IPA agent automatically collects processed support packages from a specified location and sends them to a configured PTC ThingWorx server as and when the processing is complete. The information for connecting to a File Receiver ThingWorx server is stored in the ServerInfo.properties file located in the IPA installation directory.

The sending process is logged in a logger file so any failures can be diagnosed by the administrator.

If sending fails due to network connectivity issues, the IPA agent makes a maximum of ten additional attempts, one attempt every hour, to resend the data. The IPA agent stops attempting when the data is successfully sent.
